A traveler from a very young age, I grew up in Japan, Australia and Thailand, and have traveled to Burma, China, Costa Rica, England, Fiji, Honduras, Indonesia, India, New Zealand, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan and Vietnam.
My life revolves around image-making: My undergrad degree is in black & white darkroom photography, and I'm currently in my second year as an MFA Film student. I teach photography at the university level and am the operations manager of the Photography program at American University in Washington DC. I'm also a contributing writer for UpTake.com's Beach Blog.
I like off-season travel, expat living, The New York Times Travel section, pop culture, religious iconography, the Flemish artists Jan van Eyk and Peter Bruegel the Elder, and English Bulldogs.
